What makes your machine more expensive?
There are many small CNC machines on the market today that are less than $5000.
We have tested or have had customers test a lot of the machines on the market and the biggest issue is ACCURACY. We would love to sell a machine in this price range and we have personally purchased around 10 of these machines, but when we sell a product it needs to be able to make templates that are very accurate and very consistent. These machines DO NOT PROVIDE THE ACCURACY NEEDED for making templates.
We could lower our standards but you, as the customer, would not be happy with the end result.
Do you use a Setup Stand or Test Stand?
If you use either a setup stand or a test stand, you will be using a scope that is accurate to within .001″. What is the use of having such an expensive piece of equipment, but then purchase a template maker that CANNOT and WILL NOT produce templates that are accurate enough. It will immediately be obvious that the templates are not going to be as accurate as the equipment you are grinding the knives for.

Pride in your mouldings
If you pride yourself in the quality of your mouldings (and you should) our machine will produce templates with smooth surfaces that enhance the quality of the mouldings. That should be the end goal because when a poor quality template is placed on a profile grinder, the stylus of the grinder duplicates any ripple or rough surface in the template. Other template makers will not give you the same smooth finish that you will get from our machines.
Ease of Use
Our software is designed specifically for making templates. If you use an existing CAD program, we can tell you what you need to turn the drawing into templates. We can help you with the drawing setup.
Experience – We Know What We are Doing
We have 25 years experience in making templates and teaching users how to make templates. Most CNC companies you call will not know things like:
– what AXIAL CONSTANT is
– what a pressure shoe is
– what a template is used for
– how to run a profile…or
– what the fence on the moulder is.
